On Tuesday, the 19th of March 2024, eight girls from the year six netball team went to Bromley High School for Girls, to participate in an all girls netball tournament. Before the tournament all eight of the girls came to training to improve their skills. While training, we focused on: passing, positions, shooting and marking. On the day of the tournament, the girls arrived at Bromley High School to practise for the competition to recap what we had learnt earlier in the morning. At the beginning of the tournament, we played Bromley High A team. For that game, we drew 0-0. In the second game, we played against Farrington's and won 2- 1. Our third game against Highfield, we won 8-0 with a fantastic display of attacking netball. Two wins and a draw meant we qualified to go into the semi finals. We produced another brilliant performance in the semi final, winning 7-0...! In the final, we played a strong Bromley High team and after a tough, back-and-forth game we drew 3-3… Although both teams were very keen to play a tiebreaker, we ended up finishing the game there - drawing in first place. A big thank you to Miss Clark for taking us to the competition and helping us throughout the tournament; giving us tips to help improve our play. Also, thank you Mr Slater for helping us improve our skills with the additional training sessions. Everyone played very well, we enjoyed the afternoon and are very proud of our achievement.
